I am 55 yrs old and have never been a home owner. I don't like to pray for material things because I feel it is selfish and there are so many more important things with real meaning that need addressing. But I recently found a home which I am able to afford and it would free up future earned income which I would apply towards a safety net and retirement and it would also allow me the opportunity to be more charitable to those in need. It is a small, modest home but sufficient for my simple minded non-materialistic self. Just one thing, there is a current contract pending , however the real estate agent said the potential buyer was wanting to cancel the contract and that is what I am praying for - that he cancels the contract so that I might have this opportunity of being a first time home buyer with plans of helping others with my potential savings and the freedom to become more available to giving back to the community. PS- I have lived in my rental home going on 8 years and it is falling apart all around me and come to find out is infested with termites. That's another reason for wanting and needing a new home but it would be grand after 55 years to have one I can call my own and leave it to my children when God decides to call me home!
