I have an opportunity to pursue my music dreams again. A singer who's been working hard to build her name suddenly had her backup singer back out of a concert opportuniy, and my father (who has helped build her stage band) called me to let me know the opportunity is open for me to step up, provided the lead singer agrees. The problem is that should she agree, it will require me to be gone for the week of my first anniversary with my husband, including a marriage retreat we signed up for months ago that will occur on the day of the concert.

I have been looking forward to this special time with my husband for months, but this opportunity with my music dreams is literally once-in-a-lifetime event - there will be some big names and scouts present, and I could be heard and begin to make a real career with my music. My husband is encouraging me to pursue my dream, but passing over our first anniversary is a big deal to me.

Please pray for me - I pray for God to set me on the path that He wants for me, the one He knows will bring me the greatest happiness and peace. He has opened a door for me, and I will follow wherever He leads me. I pray for Him to give me the strength I need to bear through the result of this difficult decision, and to give me more faith in His divine plan.
