God bless you!! Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. She is in heaven now since 7/18/14 & it still hurts so very much. She also aspirated on meat at the hospital. She had dx of MS and some undocumented stokes. She was on a feeding tube the year before with 24 watch...I feel the hospital did her so very wrong! The nurse he called to tell me and said it was well over 5-10 mins that she went without air before they put her on life support. I knew she was gone then but we waiting for my Grandma (her mom) to get here from out of state before pulling the plug since there was no brain activity what so ever. Tell your son to not be so hard on himself...same goes with you...know that she's looking over you both from above. My last words to my mom were stern, about trying hard to live, and then she was gone from a meal the hospital fed her... It is easy to want to blame yourself but it is not out fault. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers
