T Commented on T AM's prayer request:

I have been right where you are. And I can tell you I was so wrong. I have had many unfortunate situations happen to me. I suffered in a horrible marriage for 14 years. I never had a real career. But the tide is turning for me. I learned self love. You must love yourself before you are capable of loving others. I have just met an amazing man. He is surreal. We met on line and he is currently in Brussels. He comes home the 12th of December. I have faith that he is real, when everyone is telling me he is not. There is something in my heart that tells me they are wrong. Just as you know in your heart that what you are doing is wrong. You are needed. You are worthy. You have a life of memories to make. Only you can bring forth change. Baby steps. Set goals. Tell yourself from right now and for the next hour I am going to do something that brings me joy. Day dream about those memories that made you laugh. Not just heehee but the laugh that comes from you gut. The one that made you gasp for air you were laughing so hard and you had to brush the tears from rolling down your face because it was so ridiculously funny. Hour 2: take that euphoria and the high you feel to go for a run or a walk. Once the mind finds its release the body’s adrenaline will take over. This will take the physical tension and force it’s use to release that tension. Now that your mind and body are on the same page, it is with calm that you can think realistically of what your situation is. But, step out of the situation, as if it were not your own, pretend it is your best friend’s problem. Using logic, the resources that are available at hand, what would your recommendation be to your best friend? You won’t tell them, “Hey, you know your life sucks, yeah, I think you should pull the trigger.” Answers are often right in front of us, but when our coping mechanisms are down, we are blind to see them with in a our arms reach. Write down your own advise, plans look different when they are on paper and are not clouded by our fear that compromises us. Select a step from your plan and write what you would need to do, and WILL DO to accomplish it. You have now gone from a place of confusing chaos to been in a state of neutrality and have created a framework for a plan. Now, introduce yourself back into the scenario. The plan is not perfect or complete. It’s a step. The beginning of a blueprint that YOU fashioned. THE REAL YOU. The you that is now grounded, in this hour. Plan the next hour. Reward yourself! Go get a meal you have been craving. Sit down and watch mindless television that will keep those endorphins pumping. Go to the park, the laughter of children and the antics of dogs being walked is whimsical. Laugh out loud. The sound of your own laughter will bring you hope. Take in the sights around you. The trees; are their leaves changing color? Is the sky cloudy or is the sun dancing in the sky? Give thanks to the universe for always providing us with beauty that we forget to look at because we are racing about our day and don’t take the time to appreciate what we each have and is absolutely FREE. Hour three: you woke up this morning. You felt overwhelmed. You pondered negative thoughts and now in the last two hours you have self loved, made a realistic plan, and rewarded yourself for a job really well done, now it is time to thank our Maker for affording us the ability to help ourselves. Yes, you still have a ways to go, but easy peasy as you are now armed with the critical steps that gets you to your next hour’s goal. You can smile. You have accomplished more in two hours than most are unable to accomplish in a lifetime. If God can forgive you, then you certainly can forgive yourself for the misstep’s sometimes cause us to fall down that hill into temporary chaos. What matters is at the end of that fall, you get up, thank your Maker and though you maybe bruised, you are never broken.
