this is not a prayer for me, but for another. I met a gentle old soul today, I do not know his name. He spoke to me about God and the things that Jesus is doing for his family. He has a 2 yr old granddaughter and her daddy is overseas fighting for OUR FREEDOM. Every night "daddy" would read this little girl her favorite book before bed. When he left for war, she wouldnt let her mom read it to her, she wanted daddy too. She told her mommy that daddy would be home soon to read it and she would wait. Mom didnt have the heart to tell her that her daddy would be gone for over a year. Soon after that conversation, the postman knocked on the door. He handed the mom a brown envelope and the address was from kuwait. Inside that envelope was a new book that daddy had bought for this little girl and a dvd of him reading the story for her, so he could still be there with her every night. by the time this man finished this story I had tears in my eyes and goosebumps covering my flesh. This is TRULY GODS work. Please pray for this war mans safety and that he will return home to that little girl soon.
