I came upon an accident on US 80 where someone had died. There was a sheet draped over a body in the middle of the intersection, and after saying a prayer I saw that sheet move, and so did the paramedics who were tending to another casualty. They quickly ran over and removed the sheet from the now-living man, carefully placed him on a gurney and whisked him away to the hospital. I didn’t stay around long enough for the authorities to figure out who I was and what I’d done. I wasn’t even sure at that time that it was my action that had revived that stranger. What else could it have been – God? Maybe.
