Stephen Commented on Stephen Ferguson's post:

Your welcome very much, I just thank the Lord I can help in a positive way. Lord know's we can react in a negative way if we want to. When I was growing up my father always told me that there are two kinds of people in the world-1. Builders, and 2. destroyers. He told me I would have to choose what kind of person I wanted to be. A builder or a destroyer.

I choose to be a builder. I choose to help, and in that helping process, building process, we are going to take alot of negative thoughts, words, and actions from others. The devil's job and his minions are to tear Jesus down, His works, His people, His good. The devil's job is to take us all to hell with him, to destroy, to separate, cause hate, confusion, hopelessness and fear in our lives.

It is a spiritual war going on here. We either belong to the Lord (the home team), or the devil (the away team). If we can see it for what it is, it makes dealing with that negativity alot easier for us. One thing I've never done is take other's bad intentions, bad words, or bad actions personally, or to heart.

When people are mean and hurtful to me I know I'm doing something right. I know it's the devil trying to stop me from doing something good, God's will. God will put those on our path for us to help, and we must help them. He will put those on our path to help us, and we must let them help us. Same goes for the devil-he will put those on our path to hurt us, to stop us from helping others, to destroy us, to stop us from spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, to stop us from shining our lights in a dark world.

I thank God today for you, and I thank the Lord today for saving me. Without Him I am nothing, He gave me a purpose, He gave me Hope, and He gave me a future. It feels good to be recruited to play for the home team, and to have teammates like you my brother in Christ. Have a blessed day in Jesus name! Amen!

Stephen Commented on Stephen Ferguson's post:

I've been there myself. I've learned in life that I don't control what other's think, say, or do to me. I only have control of what I think, say, and do. We can never make everyone happy, or make them understand how we feel or think about ourselves or them. Trying to do that can be very disappointing and an emotional catastrophe for you.
One thing I've learned in life is that I have to accept other's how they are. Faults and all, good and bad ya know. I know that I just have to be myself, and doing that I noticed my love, kindness, and niceness rubs off on other's sometimes. Alot of people in the world are hurting inside, and can't fix themselves. But that's why Jesus came, to save the lost, to save us sinners.
And when someone is having a bad day and we notice it's a good thing to be nice to them, comfort them, be a friend to them. It's nice to be a listening ear, to pray with them and for them. Our jobs as Christians is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and what He did for us on Calvary. Jesus came to save the lost.
There are alot of lost and hurting souls that need loving and caring for and it's our jobs to give them that threw Jesus Christ.
I noticed that when I'm living my life following Christ and being myself that the Lord puts people on my path every day. It's my job to stop and help them like the good Samaritan in the bible. God will put people in our paths and in our lives to help. Whether it's just to listen, pray for, give a kind word, give a helping hand, give a warm smile, give a handshake or hug, to buy someone or make someone breakfast, lunch or dinner, etc. Whatever it is it will be shown to us. He also puts us on other people's paths to help us, guide us, encourage us, to teach us, etc., ya know.
Sometimes God has us tilling the dirt. Sometimes we are planting seeds. Sometimes we are watering seeds. Sometimes we are pulling weeds. Sometimes we might be doing one of those steps, sometimes God has us doing 2 of those steps, sometimes all of them steps. But at the end of the day I learned that only God can make that seed grow.
Continue letting your light shine. God see's and know's your heart and hears your prayers! May our faith in Jesus grow along with our Hope in Him. God bless you my friend and have a great and wonderful day.
