Lord, please help me to overcome this scar that has been left on my heart. Help me to understand that just because love can't exist between my parents doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Please help me to understand that there are people in the world I can trust when things seem darkest. Most of all, Lord, please grant me a peaceful mind that I may get back to a normal, happy life.
