Please pray that my ex-husband, who is very sick b/c of alcohol addiction, will be comforted & strengthened on all levels: emotionally, physically, spiritually, and mentally. Please help him to take action on the realization that if he doesn't change, he will die soon. Only he can make the choice to get help and stay sober. He is currently isolated b/c of poor health in the county jail for a 4th DUI and is very frail & weak. Thank God he didn't injure or kill anyone when he was driving. He is in the best place right now, where he is not on the streets and is in a safe place to sleep/be, is being fed, and under intense medical supervision. Please let him know that people love him and are forgiving him for the hell that we/they experienced when he was drunk, angry & very unpredictable. I ask that his 1st ex-wife, 2 estranged kids, his father, 3 siblings, and any others to be able to forgive him and reconcile with him for what they experienced before it's too late. Help him to heal & forgive any people that violated him during his life, esp. any childhood traumas and muggings/attacks, etc. that he experienced in the last few years. Please Jesus, let him know that you are with him, watching, guiding, & protecting him and that he is loved by You & many people that he has touched in his 50+ years. Hold him and his interior organs & exterior body in the light & warmth of Your love, heal his heart, mind, & soul, and please give him a second chance to get his life in order.
I also ask that you pray for all of my family, friends, cats, and our country that people will remain calm during these times of uncertainty. Let both sides work together so that the government shutdown is as quick and painless as possible. Let those that voted for it realize that everyone is affected and open their hearts to compassion and share their wealth/have salary cuts, like many people are experiencing. Let them see that the cost of continuing the shutdown is not worth the benefits that we are reaping.
Please help, comfort, and protect all those who are hurting or suffering in body, mind, heart, and spirit, homeless/in poverty, unemployed, disabled, the vulnerable of our society (pets, children, and elderly), experiencing any kind of abuse, torture, etc. Let people know they are loved and forgiven. Help us all to get back on track and live our lives in a way that is pleasing to you.
