My life the last few years:
1: My youngest daughter, now 19, has 10 different medical conditions. The four biggest problem ones are Epilepsy, Chronic-Complex Migraines, Brain Damage due to multiple concussions & Meniere's Syndrome. These three feed off of one another. She will never be able to go to college or hold down a job. We have been fighting for disability since she was 14. She can't move out and live a somewhat normal life. The temperature change can bring on a massive migraine and she'll pass out for hours. I have be unable to work due to her medical condition while she was in school. I had to be available at the drop of a hat to get to her. To look at her, you'd never know she has all these issues.
2: two years ago I started taking care of my mentally & physically aunt & uncle. They lived in an apparent building near me that was income based & for the elderly & disabled. On December 18, 2014 my aunt had a massive grand-mal seizure. She stopped taking her meds (hiding them from me and telling me she was taking them. Part of her mental illness to which I found out to late). Due to the severity of her seizures and downward spiral of her mental status she was placed into a nursing home by her doctor on December 22, 2014. Within 6 days my uncle also took a turn for the worse mentally as well. He could be away from her for long, this is what caused the mental failing. He was admitted to the same nursing home by his doctor on December 24, 2014. I still take them to doctors appointments and visit them as often as I can.
3: On December 11, 2014 my (then) y/o grandson was rushed by ambulance 3 hours from our home, with his mother with him. leaving behind her two other children. Once at the children's hospital he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. This is one of the top two most common childhood cancers...but it is also the deadliest. When he turned 5 this past October we were thrilled! we never thought he'd make it to this milestone! (praise Jesus!). He has recently started antibodies thereapy. Beginning in march/April 2016 my daughter will be able to find new employment . As of December 2015 she looses her job due to being gone for the last year. While these two are away, my above mentioned 19 y/o daughter has been caring for the other two children. Again, I can't get a job because I have to be available at the drop of a hat to go get her and (now) 2 of my grandchildren.
God has been proving for us. We don't have much and struggle to make ends meet week to week. God always makes sure we have something. I put my worries in God's hands and he always provides. My request....my body is beginning to feel the effects of the stress I've hidden. My aunt & uncle being placed in a nursing home came within a week of the beginning of this horrible journey my grandson & daughter have been through. This eased my stress a little and I know God had His hand in this. My daughter was recently told that my grandson in now in remission. This also, I know God's hand was in! Please pray for us ALL. My stress levels, my 19 y/o who has put her life on hold to help her sister, my daughter & grandchildren. We are ALWAYS in need of comfort, grace & arms holding us up! Thank you all & God Bless!
My 4 year old grandson was rushed to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital on December 11, 2014. There he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma....cancer. Tomorrow, April 29, 2015, will start his 6th round of Chemo. He seems to be doing better and the doctors are very pleased with his progress, but the bottom line is...he can still die from this cancer. Neuroblastoma is one of the two most common children's cancers but it has the highest mortality rate. When he was diagnose it was already stage 4. We were lucky to have him for for 2 and a half weeks...the longest hes been home since this all began. My daughter, his mother, also has a 6 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. My 18 year old takes care of them while her sister is in Indianapolis. They live a city away, about a 30 minute drive from my home. It is very difficult for me to get to her in emergencies. She suffers from 9 different medical conditions. We are all in need of healing, strength, courage, patience, and grace. Some are lapsing in their Faith since this has began...they are in need of prayers for this as well. Me? I have put all of this in God's hands. I have 100% Faith in His choices. If God takes him from us, I trust his reasons are for the good benefit of my grandson. If I didn't have my faith, I wouldn't be able to function daily through all of this. Thank you and God Bless you All
Please pray for my daughter. She's 15 & her Epilepsy is becoming out of control. She has Epilepsy, debilitating Migraines & inner ear problems. All of these conditions are feeding off of each other. Today is her 21st day missed from school this school year. She is a good Christian girl. She normally lets these thing roll off her back, but they are taking their toll on her. Its bringing her down these days. She loves school, going to church, volunteering at the church nursery & after school mentoring elementary school program (also at church). These conditions are interfering with everything. She knows she will never be normal, but to be able to manage these conditions so she can live a regular life would be a wonderful gift. God Bless you all!
My daughter started attending church at the age of four. She went with her sisters to a Wednesday evening youth group event and started in the preschool programs. By the time she was a teenager she was very strong in her Faith. She inspired the rest of us as well. While in Elementary School she attended a Daddy-Daughter Dance. The last year she was able to participate, it was a Princess themed dance (every year was a different theme), so we bought her a Tiara. She ADORED that tiara and wore it often. A couple of years ago, late teens now, our church had a Princess Tea Party. She showed up in a lovely dress, nothing fancy, with her tiara proudly displayed on her head. Quite a few of the girls asked why she was wearing it. She told them it was a PRINCESS Tea party so she wore her PRINCESS tiara. One girl looked at her and said, "But your not a REAL princess so why do you have a tiara?" My daughter proudly said, "Oh Yes, I AM a REAL princess, just like all of you are REAL Princesses!" The other girl, chuckled and said, "No we are not." My daughter has now drawn a crowd around her. She stood tall and proclaimed with a huge smile, "I AM a real princess. My Heavenly FATHER is the KING of Kings! That makes me a REAL Princess. As He is YOUR Heavenly father as well, that makes ALL of you REAL Princess's too." The following year, at the next Princess Tea Party, every girl had a tiara! I don't know if they still have these parties as my daughters are all grown (this was for youth groups), but I hope every girl, to this day, stands proud of her role as a Real Princess!
Submit your prayer request. Thousands of caring people will see it and pray for you.
